Bible Text: Psalm 90: 8 - 12

 Introduction:

The message came up as a special message to all & sundry during the Thanksgiving service for an amiable, philanthropic, indefatigable & very supportive, friend, colleague, sister, mother, grand mother and above all an Anointed woman of God.

And also to celebrate her Golden Jubilee birthday. Gold is a symbol of Prosperity, Strength & Wisdom.

Therefore, in the course of our Thanksgiving service today, we're asking God to teach us... so that, we can apply our hearts unto wisdom.

In Proverbs 4:7, says "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."

Proverbs 9:10-11, says "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. 11, For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

The Bible is all about Wisdom of God, and Jesus Christ is the Wisdom personified. Therefore, we would just take note of few wisdom nuggets today.

Wisdom Nuggets

1) Fear of the LORD: Prov 9:10 says "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom". Thus we need to fear God in all ramifications of our lives. God is also going to add many days to us as we crave for wisdom and add increase to our years on earth for good in Jesus Name...Amen.

Jeremiah 33:3, says "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and [a]mighty things, which you do not know."

2) Love God: says "Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always." Remember when you were courting your spouse...in that you were never tired of him or her at all times, you just want to see each other at every point in time. In like manner, show your love for God...Amen.

Remember that Lamentation 3:21-22, says "This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22, It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

Thank You Jesus.

3) Assurance: In Luke 1:37 says "For with God, nothing shall be impossible." This is an assurance that ONLY with God that everything shall become possible to us, not with our pastor or anybody... only with GOD

Therefore, outside God, nothing shall be possible. So, don't loose hope because God over every seemingly impossible situations will intervene in your case today in Jesus Name... Amen!

Psalm 34:8: says "O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him."

4) Be a channel of blessings: In Luke 6:38: says "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

This aspect is very important & necessary, because today we're all here to celebrate a woman of God, who's very ardent in giving.

Take note that what you're going to get back is very much more above what you give...this is a very powerful nugget not be forgotten easily.

5) Give Thanks:  In 1 Corinthians 15:57 says "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." This opens our eyes to our victory in Christ Jesus only as we give thanks always...Amen.

Conclusion: The conclusion of the whole matter can be found in Ecclesiastes 12:13; which says "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."

Meaning that we should:

(i) Fear God &

(ii) Keep His Commandments

This is God's expectations from us all ... Amen.

Lastly do you fear God or not... Christ is inviting everyone today, according to Matthew 11:28, says "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

God is inviting us to REST in every area of our lives ..so let's go to Him in prayers that Father, as we've come to celebrate with our dear Mommy Pastor please, grant us rest in every area...you know which area that you need rest... physically, spiritually and emotionally... AMEN & AMEN.

Thank You Jesus...
